Tuesday January 13th: Off to Vancouver. Jeffrey is taking over the discussion with Bob Bagga. Norman picked me up and we went to City -TV to meet with Peter Palframan of the Learning Channel. The meeting was a good one with John Dvorcek joining us at the end. Norman took Peter through the whole story and adfter a time, we got to find out their need: programming that they can make money with. We then focused on two issues with Peter and established a meeting in the first week in February to follow up. The two areas are: Programming the Accelerated learning techniques as teaching tools. Doing them on video. I might do a sample of one or two on this upcoming Vancouver trip. The second aspect of agreement was that they would work with us on the ten shows "As the Paradigm Shifts". We left the meeting and Norman was a little miffed with me as I took more control of the meeting than he would have preferred. He was right of course, but I feel strongly that Norman gets lost in the big picture and he loses his audience. I see this better in him than I do in myself, but it is a good learning for me. We must remember that everyone has their own agenda and that our program must work with their agenda and not vice versa. Norman on the other hand is right in pushing our project forward. SO in my estimation, there is a give and take in the meeting that enables us not to get lost in our loftiness, but to satisfy the agenda of getting the alliance started. I think we have been successful in this at this point. After this meeting I went and picked up some money at Pan Pacific Strategies, then of to a squash game with Bill Roberts. We had a quick catch-up and a quick game. Took a tram over to the Smart Bar where Fernando put together a package for my next month health drinking. He had about six people in the restaurant, but he moved me to the front of the line as he realized I was in a hurry. Took a cab home stopping at the bank on the way to do some last minute banking and met Michael at the apartment at 4:01. Right on time. Off to the airport and talking about Michaels progress with his camera. This camera is to capture a "moment in time". I think I understand how it is to work but I am not too sure. It will be a 35 camera configuration. His intention is to use it in the advertising industry to present interesting photographic techniques for his clients. We talked a little of how we might work together on this. On to the plane and Vancouver. Arrived at Balu Kateys’ apartment in downtown Vancouver. Balu took me through the CELPIT program and it became clear to me how to structure the World Citizenship Diploma Course. We agreed to work together on the program. He advised me the company name he operates under will be changing to Yogi Knowledge Enterprises Ltd. This should be a more universal trading name, and cannot hurt I guess. We talked till late in the evening on many issues. |
