Leaving for Las Vegas

The car delivery company fell through. Not only did they waste my time, but when I went to get my deposit back they charged me $20 because I did not take their customer all the way to their car in San Diego (the 200 mile trip) that was originally 15 minutes out of my way. I was outraged at this and also they gave me a cheque which meant I had to go and waste another half hour at the bank. These people think nothing of the inconvenience they foist on people, no matter what. I exploded. What an experience for a Peacemaker. I did not use any of my materials or learned behaviour. One could justify my behaviour by saying that their desk needed cleaning, so I cleaned off her desk. I almost picked up their typewriter to throw it to the ground in utter desperation. I caught myself, however. The clean desk did help me feel better. And as I walked out of the office, while I did not feel good, I felt justified in the inconvenience that I was being forced to experience. I am certain it was more of a learning experience for me than for the woman who cost me two days time, $20 dollars and much aggravation.

I left, and soon found myself at the airport with my sister Joann providing me the ride. It was great visiting with her as I feel quite at home in her house. I probably will visit more often as it seems there is more to do out here.

I went to Southwest Airways that gave me a flight at their best possible rate. ($30 off quoted rate) I arrived in Vegas by 4 PM and went to the Golden Nugget Hotel where Norman was to be. We hooked up by around 11 PM and managed to catch the Light show called the Fremont Experience. I was destined to sleep on the floor as Norman had brought along Mark Ironsides as his cameraman. Norman was doing a marketing exploration for Mind the Store, a venture that he sees as being our front end to the internet.
