Tuesday November 25th AGO Information finally comes from Web Surfer - not informative - apparently our team has two Web Surfer units. Called Smart Toronto - trying to set up a press party - discuss with Norman. I noticed in Now magazine that Grit Laskin, a former client of mine and a guitar maker was being honored at the Art Gallery of Ontario as this years recipient of the Sadye Bronfman award for outstanding contribution to the arts. I mentioned Jean Larravee to Grit and also the mention of William Laskin in Banff.. I met Grit’s father who was very proud of his son, and especially so in finally seeing the "system" recognizing his talent and dedication to excellence. Also ran in to some old friends, Ola and Camille Remme who brought me up to date on their lives together and their children. We used to spend winters and summers together in the 70’s and early 80’s. Life has been pretty good for them. Camille is becoming well known for her quilting and we discussed some concept of the Peace quilt, although we did not take the discussion too far. Maybe later.
