Plans Change

Nothing went as planned this week. Had a short meeting with Ole on Tuesday and he gave me some direction. Vancouver Cancelled til next week, and Royston cancelled til next Monday.

Made some calls to organize next week in Vancouver, and plans for the next week or so. Spent most of this week writing and organizing information: Diploma Course for Global Education, Organizing Website info, and writing piece on Accelerated learning techniques. Sent a memo to Gabriola Sounder on the MAI.

Tuesday night Running Water came by with Chris and another friend Randy and we discussed how we could work together, and they asked many questions about the organization, and how the UN system works. Sent a letter off to Korg to help Runing Water get a Keyboard system and also a letter from the IAEWP. I put together a program outline for Ole and then organized the presentation package. I spent some time on the telephone with Rick Armstrong from Websurfer getting details on how they could support our program, and the details of the delivery system. On Friday Netscape announced it was working with Websurfer. Also on Friday I made contact with Michael Gurstein of CCEN in Nova Scotia. In a post I read on the Internet, they appear to be looking to support exactly the type of project we are proposing. The ultimate determination will be whether or not they see it is to their advantage. I can only hope that they get it. Friday ended with a Bonfire and fireworks celebrating Halloween. It was done at Twin Beaches. I am not certain but I think over 50% of the inhabitants of Gabriola were in attendance. The fireworlks were appreciated by all, even thos e Torontonians who get spoiled with the Benson and Hedges International competitions. It is always fun to experience children ooing and ahing at each and every glitter in the sky.
