Letter to Royson James at The Star - Sept 29th, 2003

Greetings Royson James:

I am writing to confirm the information in your article regarding the enforcement of Election Act. I too have done some investigation, and it has cost me one subway token.
Perhaps I have gained a little through following Mr. Jakobek's process, but I find it difficult to believe that he has spent $32,000 to find out nothing.

Here is my process.
I went to 52 division and asked who is responsible for enforcing the Elections Act. After some suggestions as to process which I challenged, it turned out they knew nothing. They referred me to 40 College Street. I went there. There too, they informed me they knew nothing. I attended a Press conference at 40 College St. Chief Fantino indicated that I could call him to have a meeting to discuss issues. And shortly I will have a meeting with Chief Julian Fantino. I'll keep you informed.

The core issue here is that Barbara Hall has broken the rules. she has an unfair advantage over all candidates in the running. She should also resign today. If she had not put money into the "Friends Campaign" she may have a leg to stand on. The way it is - she must resign - or rewrite the course on Ethics.

Peace
